A South African retail franchise specialist and authorized Telkom partner that focuses on national sales, distribution, and, in some cases, mobile “store on wheels” activations, is seeking commercially disciplined Group COO who will hold full accountability for national retail operations, sales execution, and EBITDA performance across digital, enterprise, and direct sales channels.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Oversight: Full P&L accountability; driving revenue growth while maintaining strict margin, cost-to-income, and payroll ratios.
Retail & Channel Management: Oversee a national network of 40+ stores and lead performance across Direct Sales (DSF), Prepaid, Postpaid, and FTTH.
Operational Excellence: Optimize integration across Digital, Call Centers, and B2B segments through structured dashboards and forecasting frameworks.
Asset & Risk Control: Manage inventory levels, optimize stock turn, mitigate shrinkage, and ensure audit/regulatory compliance.
Strategic Expansion: Evaluate and execute store rollout strategies based on defined ROI and IRR thresholds.
Leadership: Build and mentor high-performance regional and channel leadership teams.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: 10–15 years in senior retail or commercial operations leadership.
Scale: Proven track record managing multi-site retail environments (30+ locations preferred).
Industry: Background in Telecommunications, Retail, or high-volume consumer sectors.
Financial Acumen: Strong expertise in EBITDA management, working capital control, and operational restructuring.
Culture Fit: Ability to thrive and maintain discipline within a fast-paced, founder-led growth environment.
