Are you ready to lead a team that builds world-class, mobile infrastructure solutions? Our client – a market leader in the design and manufacture of mobile ablution, kitchen, and utility units – is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to drive innovation, streamline operations, and grow their global footprint.
With over two decades of innovation behind them and clients in more than 26 countries, this pioneering manufacturer has earned its reputation for bespoke, rugged, and technically advanced mobile units used in mining, military, events, civil infrastructure, and humanitarian sectors.
As General Manager, you’ll take the helm of a team of 45+ specialists across design, manufacturing, sales, and service. You’ll be responsible for strategic leadership, operational excellence, market expansion, and fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and technical excellence.
Strategic Leadership:
Shape and implement long-term strategies to maintain and expand market leadership locally and abroad.
Operational Management:
Oversee end-to-end manufacturing, ensure lean production, and champion continuous improvement and R&D initiatives.
Sales & Client Development:
Drive business development across local and international markets, especially in mining, military, events, and government sectors.
Supply Chain & Logistics:
Build and maintain reliable supplier networks while optimising inventory and procurement.
Customer Service & Support:
Lead post-sale support, maintenance, and training to uphold product reliability and brand reputation.
Team Leadership & Culture:
Mentor a cross-functional team, nurture internal talent, and foster a values-based, people-first work environment.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure adherence to local and international standards, including manufacturing, safety, and trailer certification protocols.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related fields
7–10+ years in a senior operational leadership role (preferably in manufacturing or custom fabrication)
Strong experience in:
Strategic business growth
Complex supply chain management
Production and assembly processes (trailers, welding, plumbing, electrics preferred)
Export market development
Client-focused design and delivery
Knowledge of NRCS, MIB registration, and regulatory manufacturing standards
Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D or similar design tools
Experience in mobile/trailer-based product manufacturing
