General Manager NEW

A leading integrated services company is looking for an experienced General Manager with strong experience in operations management, logistics, sales, staff management, and branch administration to join their team in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing branch operations, improving service delivery, driving profitability, and managing a large workforce within a fast-paced environment servicing key industries such as mining and hospitality. The role offers long-term growth opportunities within a national business structure, with initial training to be conducted in Pretoria before relocation to Rustenburg.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage branch sales, operations, and administration
• Ensure operational requirements and service delivery standards are achieved
• Drive route optimisation and monitor operational KPIs
• Ensure quality standards and ISO compliance are maintained
• Manage branch profitability and regional target achievement
• Oversee health and safety compliance and committee requirements
• Ensure meeting minutes and compliance documentation are submitted timeously
• Manage training, development, and performance of staff
• Lead and manage teams exceeding 20 employees
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Support business growth through existing and new customer development
• Oversee stock control, logistics, dispatch, receiving, and operational processes
• Work closely with finance and debtor-related functions where required

Requirements:

• Matric certificate
• Management qualification advantageous
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in a management role
• Valid driver’s licence
• Previous experience managing more than 20 staff members
• Strong exposure to at least 3 of the following areas:
  • Debtors/Finance
  • Logistics
  • Stock ordering
  • Sales
  • Dispatch/Receiving/Outbound operations
• Experience within mining, hospitality, logistics, warehousing, or related industries advantageous
• Strong leadership, operational, and customer service skills
• Willingness to relocate to Rustenburg after initial training period in Pretoria
