Financial Accountant | Montagu, Western Cape (Onsite)

Hire Resolve is seeking a trustworthy, accurate, and committed Financial Accountant for a prominent leader in the food manufacturing and FMCG field based in Montagu, Western Cape. Reporting via a dual line to the Head of Category and the applicable Financial Manager, this dynamic position focuses on overseeing core financial operations, IFRS-compliant reporting, statutory reconciliations, and inventory transaction management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Performance Areas:

• Financial Operations & Billing: Oversee daily billing, payment processing, and account reconciliations in close collaboration with the finance team.

• General Ledger & IFRS Processing: Post accurate journal entries utilizing strong IFRS knowledge and practical financial reporting expertise.

• Asset & Inventory Management: Oversee fixed asset transactions and manage inventory/stock transactions when required.

• Statutory Compliance & Tax: Perform calculations, submissions, and reconciliations for SARS VAT, EMP201, and Income Tax (IT).

• Reporting & Budgeting Support: Assist management with comprehensive variance analysis, financial reporting, and annual budget preparation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accountant position, with preferred exposure to the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong command of IFRS accounting standards and statutory tax processes (SARS VAT, EMP, IT).

• Attributes: Excellent numerical and analytical skills, high attention to detail, deadline-driven, results-oriented, and a collaborative team attitude.

• Location: Montagu, Western Cape (Full-Time, Onsite).

• Salary Structure: Market-related and negotiable based on experience.

• Target Start Date: ASAP.
