A leading organisation within the construction and engineering sector is seeking a highly capable Finance Manager CA(SA) to oversee and manage the full finance function at one of its operations in Zimbabwe. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to operate in a complex, project-driven environment
Responsibilities
Full financial management of the business unit, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and variance analysis
Oversight of statutory compliance, including tax, audit, and regulatory requirements
Manage and control project and contract accounting, including cost tracking and profitability analysis
Lead and develop the local finance team, ensuring strong financial controls and governance
Liaise with head office, auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders
Provide commercial and strategic financial input to operational and executive management
Ensure adherence to group financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Requirements
Chartered Accountant (SA) – CA(SA) qualification
5–7 years post-articles experience
Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
Willingness to be based in Zimbabwe
Proven experience in a project-based or contracting environment (construction, engineering, infrastructure, mining, or similar industries preferred)
Strong understanding of IFRS, financial controls, and management reporting
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
