Engineering Manager – Mining Industry – R2.6Mil – R2.4Mil

Hire Resolve’s client is a great mining company in Gauteng, which is seeking the expertise of an Engineering Manager to join their team in Pretoria.


  • Drive and participate actively in formulating and reviewing overall long-term strategies for the Engineering function by identifying the short, medium- and long-term needs in support of long-term strategic direction of the organization
  • Provide Engineering expertise and advise regional Executive Management on strategic issues within the scope of the Engineering function that could impact on business
  • Interpret SA regional business and Engineering strategies and plans for the region to translate into the vision, strategic and operational plans for the Engineering function
  • Ensure Engineering strategic and operational plans are executed in all operations; and engineering audits conducted frequently in the Engineering function from a corporate perspective
  • Ensure Engineering Learning from Incidents (LFI) is institutionalized in the company from HPI reviews, industry best practice assessments and solving for critical control effectiveness. Ensure this is encapsulated int the group minimum standards
  • Analyze benchmarked figures to highlight long-term cost-effective opportunities, make recommendations to the company based on these figures and results


  • Grade 12
  • Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering
  • GCC Mines and Works
  • 10 – 12 years of experience in an underground mining environment
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior management role


  • Salary; R2.4M/yr – R2.6M/yr, salary negotiable
