Electrical/Energy/Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer Full Time NEW

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an Electrical/Energy/Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. This position involves identifying, implementing, and maintaining energy efficiency savings and on-site generation projects. The engineer ensures projects are executed cost-effectively, safely, and in compliance with regulations and specifications, aligned with the Service Level Agreement.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, implement, and maintain energy efficiency savings and on-site generation for projects.
• Ensure projects are executed cost-effectively, safely, and in accordance with applicable regulations and specifications.
• Comply with all aspects of the Service Level Agreement.
• Conduct energy audits.
• Assist with business development in pursuit of Energy Service Company (ESCO) contracts.

Requirements: 

• Skills in energy auditing and expertise in energy efficiency projects, including auditing, planning, implementation, and management.
• Experience with onsite solar distribution and knowledge of small-scale embedded generation.
• Proficiency in Solar PV design, financials (ROI, IRR, cashflow, lifecycle costs, maintenance), and project management.
• 10 – 15 years of experience in energy efficiency, turnkey Solar PV projects, and energy financial calculations.
• Minimum of a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• ECSA – Professional Engineer/candidate registration.
• Desired completion of CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or CEA (Certified Energy Auditor) course.
• PV Green Card certification.
