Salary Estimate: R350,000 – R500,000 (Negotiable, dependent on experience)
Are you a dedicated and hardworking Accountant who thrives in a tax-heavy compliance role?
We are looking for a meticulous professional to play a key role in ensuring our Distributors meet their statutory financial obligations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge of SARS eFiling and EasyFile to provide guidance and support with financial reporting, tax submissions, and CIPC compliance.
The successful candidate will be office-based on Malibongwe Drive, with regular travel required to visit Distributor locations.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
Prepare and submit accurate VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax, and Annual Income Tax returns (EMP201, EMP501, ITR14) for multiple Distributors.
Ensure full compliance with SARS, CIPC, and relevant tax authorities in other African regions.
Monitor all filing deadlines to ensure timely submission of all reports and returns.
Liaise directly with SARS regarding tax queries, audits, objections, and verifications.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records for multiple Distributors, ensuring proper transaction classification.
Support the monthly management reporting process, including preparation and review of financial statements.
Analyze monthly P&L and Cashflow statements to monitor performance and assess liquidity needs.
Develop and update financial forecasts and budgets to assess sustainability and capital requirements.
Distributor Support & Relationship Management
Proactively collaborate with external accountants to resolve compliance-related matters.
Provide training to Distributors and their staff to improve financial acumen and operational efficiency.
Address account-related queries professionally and promptly to maintain positive working relationships.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
3–4 years’ experience in a tax or compliance-focused role.
Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and submitting various tax returns.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of SARS eFiling, EasyFile, and related systems.
Advanced Excel skills.
Own vehicle and a valid driver’s license are essential for business travel.
