Role Overview

An established enterprise technology and ERP solutions environment is seeking a skilled Developer to join their Johannesburg team. This role focuses on enterprise application development, ERP integrations, and scalable business solutions across industries including manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in solution architecture, systems integration, API development, and ERP implementation projects while also mentoring a small technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a small development team.
• Contribute to solution architecture and technical design decisions.
• Develop scalable and secure enterprise applications.
• Build and maintain ERP integrations and APIs.
• Develop and maintain C#/.NET and Microsoft SQL solutions.
• Implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, XML, and secure communication protocols.
• Participate in ERP implementation and transformation projects.
• Manage Application Lifecycle Management processes using Agile/SCRUM methodologies and Azure DevOps.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with consultants, project managers, and stakeholders across multiple business environments.
• Identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and process improvement.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and platform updates.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience within enterprise or complex systems environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• C# / .NET
• Microsoft SQL
• REST/SOAP API integrations
• XML
• SSL / secure communications
• Previous experience leading or mentoring developers.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integrations and business systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Microsoft certifications advantageous.

Advantageous Technical Experience

Experience with any of the following will be highly beneficial:

• Microsoft Azure (Functions, Service Bus, App Services, DevOps)
• ERP platforms such as Epicor or Microsoft Dynamics 365
• X++, Java, Python, PHP, or AL
• SSRS
• Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Electronic Reporting tools
• Manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain systems exposure
