Database Developer Contract

Overview

An experienced Database Developer is required to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions within a dynamic IT environment. The role focuses on building efficient, scalable, and high-performing database structures, with a strong emphasis on Oracle-based development.

Key Requirements

• Relevant 3-year IT qualification (Diploma or Degree)
• Minimum 5 years’ database development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL
• Proven ability to design, develop, and optimise database solutions

Certifications (Required)

• Certification in one of the following:
• Oracle Database 11g (or higher)
• Microsoft SQL Database

Core Competencies

• Database design and data modelling
• Writing and optimising complex SQL queries
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Data integrity and security best practices
• Working within structured development environments

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be comfortable working in a hybrid model
• Availability for onsite engagement in Johannesburg is required as needed
