Data Scientist Full Time

A leading insurance company is looking for a Data Scientist to join their team in Johannesburg.

In this role, you would be a part of an analytical-driven team within the short-term insurance division which involves various technical aspects. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical and data science skills, who is looking for an opportunity to explore and grow their skills in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Data management, verification, and gathering.
• Using statistical Modeling and data analysis
• Get insights and suggest relevant actions.
• Create and create analytical solutions to fulfil corporate goals.
• Reports on any study, Modeling, or generated solutions.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Degree In Actuarial Science, Statistics or Mathematics (Other degrees or postgraduate qualifications with a statistical/modelling aspect and/or experience will be considered)
• Minimum of 2 Years experience in Statistical Modelling or Analytical Based Role
• Minimum of 2 Years experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL
• Experience with R and Python is essential
• Short Term insurance experience is advantageous
