Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Construction Estimator in Pretoria. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of construction projects and providing timely and competitive bids to clients
Responsibilities:
– Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine the scope of work and materials required
– Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
– Develop competitive bid proposals for construction projects
– Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely bids
– Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle
– Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
– Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
Requirements:
– Relevant Site Construction experience is needed
– Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry
– Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or RSMeans
– Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Professional certification (e.g. Certified Professional Estimator) is a plus
