Civil Engineer / Technologist Full Time

Our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering company, is looking for a Civil Engineer or Technologist to join their team at the Umhlanga office.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in BSc Civ Eng / B Eng (Civils) or B Tech (Civil Eng)
• Registered or in the process of registering as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng with ECSA

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong leadership skills with a solid technical background
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience, including 1-2 years in team leadership within a consulting engineering firm
• Experience in infrastructure design, particularly roads, earthworks, stormwater, and sewer systems
• Preferably experience in pump station design for sewer and water supply
• Advantageous to have experience in municipal engineering, housing infrastructure, or industrial sectors
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D (essential), and familiarity with IDAS
• Knowledge of Hec-ras, GIS, PCSWMM, or similar tools is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Attention to detail with accuracy in work
• Confident with excellent interpersonal skills
• Dynamic, driven, and humble attitude
• Ability to remain even-tempered and work well within a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise on civil engineering projects
• Design technology solutions
• Manage complete project life cycles
• Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships
• Implement project-specific controls
• Mentor junior engineers

Other Details:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to sites within South Africa and Africa as needed.
