Civil Engineer Full Time

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our client in Cape Town that will handle technical tasks in the civil engineering field. For these tasks, they will typically report to the department manager, technical director, or project leader.

Responsibilities
The engineer will be responsible for various aspects of township engineering design, which include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

• Design of civil engineering services
• Assist in investigating alternative solutions to problems
• Help compile technical reports
• Manage project staff, including draughting personnel
• Assist in preparing tender documentation and measurement of quantities
• Support the preparation of contract documentation
• Ensure accurate records of all design, issue, and construction documentation in line with company procedures
• Assist in site supervision and construction monitoring
• Maintain quality records of on-site test results
• Adhere to ISO 9001 quality assurance standards
• Stay updated with relevant design codes and standards
• Remain current with the latest computer design software
• Collaborate with all project professional team members
• Help archive projects in compliance with current requirements
• Coach and train draughts people, technicians, and technologists
• Participate in the company’s mentorship program for professional registration
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the department manager or project leader.

Requirements: 

• Degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering/ B-Tech Degree in Civil
  Engineering.
• 6 years plus experience, this includes site and design of civil works (Roads, Storm water, Sewers and water systems).
