Actuarial Specialist Full Time NEW

Hire Resolve’s Client, a specialist cell captive insurance Company is looking for an Actuarial Specialist to join their team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will join a small actuarial team that is responsible for implementing the actuarial control function across the licenses and provides actuarial services to departments within the company.

The position will report to the Head: Corporate Actuarial and will assist with the following:

• Calculation and management of technical provisions
• Calculation and management of the regulatory and economic capital models
• Development and maintenance of actuarial models
• ORSA and Risk Appetite
• Reinsurance structuring
• Perform actuarial/statistical analyses on data
• Ad-hoc actuarial project

Key Requirements: 

• Making good progress with actuarial exams
• At least 3 years of insurance experience
• Knowledge of regulatory environment and applicable legislation
