Trainee Accountant Full Time

An established accounting firm in Cape Town is seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing annual financial statements according to relevant accounting frameworks.
• Execute audit procedures to ensure the accuracy of client financial records.
• Prepare and submit tax returns including VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax.
• Perform data entry and bank reconciliations to maintain management accounts.
• Ensure all work adheres to current accounting standards and legislative requirements.
• Compile working paper files and documentation for senior review.

Requirements:

• Completed Accounting Degree plus Honours or CTA.
• Highly motivated with a strong desire to gain experience in a professional accounting firm.
• Committed to completing professional training competencies (SAICA/SAIPA).
• Strong academic background with a focus on financial reporting and taxation.
