Raw Materials Buyer Full Time

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Raw Materials Buyer for our client in the manufacturing industry to join their team. As the Raw Materials Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted production process. 

Responsibilities:

• Planning, preparing and placing purchases for equipment, services, and supplies to meet the company’s production scheduled dates and to ensure material arrives JIT.

• Daily expediting of orders and keep the factory apprised of delays.

• Reviewing material requirements on a weekly/ monthly basis.

• Internal liaison with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure flawless production flow.

• Order best product or service that have lowest price after reviewing and analyzing all options.

• Managing inventory levels to ensure capital is not tied up in raw material.

• General/Ad hoc assistance to the Procurement Manager. 

Requirements:

• GR12

• Tertiary Certificate / Diploma in Purchasing.

• Previous MRP (Syspro) experience advantageous.

• Problem Identification/solving.

• Good Mathematical/Numerical skills.

• Good IT skills, Excellent Excel skills.

• 3-5 Years production buying experience, preferably in FMCG or CPG environment.

• 3-5 Years knowledge of stock control.

• Excellent planning experience. 

Benefits:

• Salary: R240k/yr – R300k/yr
