Operations Controller Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Controller to manage both air and sea imports and exports within the freight industry. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient coordination of delivery planning, maintain accurate file registrations, and provide exceptional service to clients and service providers.

Responsibilities:

• Handle both air and sea imports and exports.
• Register files in the freight software system.
• Coordinate delivery planning.
• Perform invoicing using the freight software system.
• Apply knowledge of tariffs, Incoterms, rates, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and service providers.
• Maintain excellent organizational and computer skills.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Matric qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in the freight industry.
• Familiarity with freight software (bonus for Shipshape knowledge).
• Strong knowledge of tariffs, Incoterms, and rates.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Reliable transport.
