Junior Bookkeeper Full Time NEW

A leading IT Services and Solutions company is looking for an experienced Junior Bookkeeper to join their team in Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience and relevant bookkeeping qualifications to manage financial records within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the processing of supplier invoices and customer billings.
• Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for and correctly allocated.
• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including following up on outstanding collections.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensure all financial documentation complies with South African regulatory standards.
• Assist in preparing the books up to the trial balance stage for month-end and year-end reporting.
• Verify and process staff expense claims and maintain a clear audit trail for company spending.
• Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system for all financial records and support the broader finance team during audits.
• Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by performing routine journals and adjustments.

Requirements:

• Hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or similar financial role.
• Possess formal bookkeeping or accounting qualifications.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
• Have your own reliable transport for commuting to the Johannesburg office.
• Show proficiency in managing accounts up to the trial balance stage.
• Maintain a professional and organized approach to administrative and financial tasks.
• Commit to meeting urgent deadlines and high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
