We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Centurion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the costs and financial aspects of construction projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare accurate estimates and cost plans for construction projects
– Monitor and manage project costs, budgets, and cash flow
– Prepare and submit progress payments and variations to clients and subcontractors
– Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs
– Attend site meetings and liaise with project teams to ensure cost control and accuracy
– Prepare and submit final accounts and close out projects efficiently
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
– 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
– Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office applications
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
