Job Title: Health & Safety Officer
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to join their team in Paulspietersburg, Empangeni. The Health & Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
– Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
– Investigate accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions
– Provide training to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols
– Keep up-to-date with health and safety legislation and regulations
– Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety matters
– Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety awareness within the organization
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
– Certified Health & Safety Officer (CHSO) designation preferred
– More than 5 years experience in civils, traffic accommodation, blasting
operations and piling activities
– Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
