Financial Accountant – Banking Contract

In this position, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls within the banking operations. Your analytical skills will enable you to provide valuable insights and support crucial decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and standards
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Conduct regular account reconciliations
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support audits and regulatory examinations
• Provide guidance on financial controls and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CA (SA) or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial accounting role within the banking sector
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and banking regulations
• Experience with financial management systems and banking software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
