Engineering Controller Full Time

A leading beverage manufacturing company situated in the Western Cape is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Engineering Controller to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance and adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk & Quality (SHERQ) Management routines
• Ensure effective Governance and adherence to Internal Control Checks (ICC’s)
• Perform Maintenance ICC
• Ensure adherence to OHSACT and all Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality procedures and statutory requirements
• Perform hazard and operational assessments
• Ensure safe use of plant and machinery
• Ensure effective Asset Care
• Financial Management
• Improve Productivity & Delivery
• Leadership & Management

Requirements:

• Must have relevant qualifications, N5 with Trade Test, N6/S4 or equivalent will be beneficial
• Qualified Millwright – highly advantageous
• Certified Automation & Control Technician – highly advantageous
• Maintenance Planning experience – added advantage
• Ammonia – CAT B registered – added advantage
• 3 – 5 years in Engineering/Production leadership role manging direct reports
• Must have working experience in a packaging environment; wine bottling experience an added advantage
• Experience in Managing and leading a team is essential
• Experience in Managing a mini business area is essential
• High competence to identify and solve problems
• Ability to work independently, and to work under pressure
• Be self-motivated and action driven
• Be a team player and innovator
• Sound leadership and conflict handling experience
• Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential
• Computer literate including SAP experience
• Must have own reliable transport
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
