eCommerce Consultant/Analyst (Mid-Level) Full Time

A South African company specializing in AI-driven software solutions for businesses is seeking a skilled mid-level eCommerce Consultant to join their team. In this role, you’ll help deliver and optimize digital commerce solutions, primarily using platforms like Magento and AgilityCMS.

Responsibilities: 

• Analyze and Gather Requirements: Collect and analyze business requirements for new eCommerce features, content, and system integrations.

• Configure and Support Platforms: Configure and maintain our core commerce platforms, including Magento, Shopify, and AgilityCMS, to meet business goals.

• Collaborate on Delivery: Work closely with developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver functional and engaging customer journeys.

• Document and Test: Create functional documentation, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and help with training activities.

• Drive Optimization: Identify and leverage existing platform features to avoid unnecessary custom development.

• Apply Best Practices: Ensure all functional decisions align with best practices for usability, accessibility, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Minimum Requirements: 

• Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience in functional consulting or business analysis within the eCommerce sector.

• Documentation Skills: Proven ability to create user stories, functional specifications, and test scripts.

• Platform Expertise: Familiarity with eCommerce platforms like Magento (Adobe Commerce) and Shopify, as well as content management systems like AgilityCMS or similar.

• Technical Knowledge: Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, on-site search, and personalization solutions.

• Domain Knowledge: A solid understanding of online retail processes, including product catalogs, pricing, promotions, checkout flows, and order fulfillment.

• UI/UX Awareness: Knowledge of UI/UX best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and customer-centric flows.

• Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Teamwork: The ability to thrive in a cross-functional Agile team environment.
