Demand Planner Full Time

A leading chemical company situated in Gauteng is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Demand Planner to join their team.

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:

Strategy Development:

• Develop inventory strategies for the branch by developing plans that will deliver budgeted working capital requirements.
• Ensuring that the right stock is on the floor at the right time to maximise sales and minimize stock – outs and close-to-expiry stock.
• Use insights from the analysis of the past sales and rep forecasts to develop an inventory strategy in order to maximise customer satisfaction, profitable sales and no write-offs.

Analysis and Forecasting:

• Analyse current demand and adhere to suitable working targets.

Stock Management:

• Track and maintain the level of stock compared to sales, working to quickly turn around products to minimize overstocking and expired stock.

Back Orders:

• Track and maintain the level of stock compared to sales, working to quickly turn around products to minimize overstocking and expired stock.

Stock Take:

• Be accountable for and manage monthly and perpetual stock takes.
• Track and manage ageing stock to ensure there are no stock write-offs due to products expiring.

Administration:

• All documentation is to be maintained to company standards.

Key requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or Finance.
• 5 years experience in a similar industry.
