Hire Resolve’s client, who offers tax recovery solutions for institutions and individuals resulting in maximized investment performance, is searching for a dynamic and experienced Data Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg.
:
Own the full lifecycle of the product/platform from ideation to release
Develop and maintain the product roadmap aligned with business objectives
Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories
Work closely with engineering teams to build and enhance the platform
Define and prioritize the product backlog
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality tech solutions
Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (CEO, COO, engineering, sales) and development teams
Gather and prioritize feature requests and feedback from users or clients
Run and manage the product independently with minimal oversight
Make strategic and tactical decisions to drive product growth and performance
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are feasible and scalable
:
Minimum 5 years of experience managing technology products
Proven ability to independently run and own a product with minimal oversight
Strong understanding of product lifecycle, backlog management, and roadmap development
Experience building or managing tech platforms
Background in Engineering and/or Computer Science (preferred but not essential)
Experience working in or with companies that build their own technology products
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with ability to use data to drive decisions
Agile/Scrum methodology experience
Experience with Salesforce is a strong advantage
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
Must be able to work from the office in Johannesburg (hybrid may be considered)
