A well-established civil engineering consultancy based in Sandton, Johannesburg, is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist (office-based in Sandton, JHB) to join their dynamic team.
Support the design and development of road infrastructure projects at municipal and provincial levels.
Undertake roads design tasks, including stormwater management, geometrics, pavements, sewer and water reticulation, and bulk earthworks computations.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications, including SANS/SABS 1200, COLTO, and applicable Bills of Quantities.
Utilize civil design software—such as Civil 3D, Model Maker, Road Maker, or AutoCAD—effectively in project execution.
Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project teams in both design and implementation phases.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Must be professionally registered as a Professional Technologist (Pr. Tech. Eng.) with ECSA—mandatory.
3–5 years of post-registration experience in civil engineering technologist roles.
Proven experience in roads projects (municipal and provincial); SANRAL experience is highly recommended.
Strong technical understanding of stormwater design, geometrics, pavements, sewer/water reticulation, and bulk earthworks.
Proficient with SANS/SABS 1200, COLTO, and Bills of Quantities.
Familiar with at least one civil design platform: Civil 3D, Model Maker, Road Maker, or AutoCAD.
