Business Developer Full Time

Our client is seeking a skilled Business Developer in the life insurance sector to join their team in Cape Town, WC. This role involves identifying potential clients, presenting tailored product proposals, and ensuring sales success. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs, improve satisfaction, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, products, and distribution channels to drive sales growth.
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to define personalized approaches.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues effectively.
• Ensure accountability for business outcomes while adhering to governance and risk management standards.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
• Proven track record in sales and marketing.
• Proven experience in the insurance industry, particularly long-term insurance and group schemes.
• Familiarity with business software and proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong strategic, negotiation, and sales skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of market trends within the insurance sector.
• Ability to travel for client meetings.
• Attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
