A leading Global Logistics & Manufacturing firm is seeking a highly qualified Accountant (CA) to join their financial team based in Fourways. This role is ideal for a meticulous professional with a Chartered Accountant designation and fluency in Mandarin, which is a mandatory requirement for this position. Initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance, this is a strategic opportunity to manage complex financial operations within a dynamic warehouse environment. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local South African tax regulations.
• Serve as the primary financial intermediary between the South African warehouse operations and international stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and reporting in Mandarin.
• Oversee warehouse-specific financial metrics, including stock valuation, supply chain cost analysis, and variance reporting to optimize operational efficiency.
• Lead the transition of financial processes during the initial 12-month contract period, implementing rigorous internal controls to meet performance benchmarks for permanent placement.
• Manage corporate tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax) and act as the lead point of contact for external auditors to ensure clean audit trails.
• Develop detailed cash flow forecasts and annual budgets, providing the executive team with data-driven insights to support warehouse expansion or resource allocation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register for the facility, ensuring all machinery, equipment, and property are accurately depreciated and accounted for.

Requirements:

• Hold a valid Chartered Accountant (CA) designation registered with SAICA.
• Demonstrate full professional fluency in Mandarin, both written and verbal, to communicate with international stakeholders.
• Possess a minimum of 3–5 years of post-article experience, ideally within a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment.
• Show comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, South African tax legislation, and corporate governance standards.
• Exhibit proficiency in advanced Excel and experience using integrated ERP systems for financial management.
• Provide evidence of strong analytical skills and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced industrial setting.
