Hire Resolve’s client is currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Standards Officer to join their mining team in the North-West region. As a Standards Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, as well as implementing best practices within the mining operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain compliance standards and procedures for the mining operations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to standards
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on standards and safe work practices
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
  • Collaborate with different departments to implement and enforce standards
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Safety Management
  • Experience and knowledge in ISO 54001; ISO 14001; and ISO 9001
  • Extensive knowledge in MHSA, Labour Acts, and Mining industry legislatives
  • 8 years’ experience as a Standards Officer withing the mining industry.
  • 5 years’ experience in SHERQ Disciplines
  • Valid Drivers’ License
