Senior Structural Engineer
An industry-leading company situated in KwaZulu-Natal is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their team.
Key Requirements:
- B.Eng. / B.Sc. Structural Engineering
- +10 years experience
- Commercial building experience
- Professionally registered with ECSA (Pr.Eng.)
- Proven record of managing structural design team of at least 5 years
- Minimum 8 years’ experience successfully managing projects (mostly medium-sized, with several large projects of medium complexity – more than one discipline) (proven by portfolio of evidence)
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing reports, designs and drawings.
- Making calculations about loads and stresses.
- Selecting appropriate construction materials.
- Providing technical advice.
- Obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval.
- Liaising with relevant professional staff such as architects.
