Lead Civil Engineer – Conakry, Guinea
A well-established civil engineering client is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to assist with their projects in Conakry, Guinea. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all civil engineering activities in the project area.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all civil engineering activities in the project area
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and recommend action plans to mitigate those risks or issues
- Ensure compliance with local engineering standards and codes, as well as with project specifications and requirements
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Collaborate with other project stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and local authorities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of project schedules and budgets
- Participate in the preparation of project reports and other documentation
Requirements:
- +10 years’ experience in public works and civil engineering
- +5 years’ experience as a Senior / Lead Engineer
- B.Sc. / B.Eng. in Civil Engineering
- Fluent in French and English
- Mostly site based role
- Must have prior experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Candidates with prior experience working in Guinea will be preferred
