Geotechnical Engineer
A well-established company is currently seeking the expertise of an experienced and talented Geotechnical Engineer to join their team.
Key requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- B Eng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering
- Good fundamental understanding and knowledge of soil mechanics
- Post graduate experience in geotechnical engineering will be advantageous
- Experience in geotechnical investigations considered advantageous
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint
- Candidate should have exposure to slope stability software, such as Geostudio
- Proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D or ModelMaker
Responsibilities:
- Design of barrier and capping systems for waste management facilities and associated infrastructure
- Modelling basal and final landforms
- Global and veneer stability assessments
- Stormwater, leakage, leachate conveyance and storage facilities
- Designing with geosynthetics
- Life assessments and monitoring of operational waste facilities
- Possibility of assistant resident engineer role for site experience
- Keep up with latest developments in the waste industry and improve knowledge base
