Sports Buyer
A leading retail company situated in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Sports Buyer to join their team.
Key requirements:
- Tertiary qualification (preferably B.Comm. or Bus. Sci.)
- Previous retail buying- or equivalent experience (min. 2 years) – specifically in the sporting retail industry (retailer, supplier, distributor)
- Passion for cycling and fitness trends / equipment – including individual participation in these sporting codes
- Trader mentality- and commercial awareness
- Ability to build product ranges
- Excellent interpersonal skills – including ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, including well established negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Numeracy and analytical ability
- Computer literate (especially Excel)
- High energy and ability to learn
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
