Senior Air Quality Consultant

Job Description

Our client, one of the most diverse consulting firms in Africa, are seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join their team in Johannesburg.

Position: Senior Air Quality Consultant

Location: Johannesburg (as well as working on projects nationally)

Salary: R390k – R330k p/a

Minimum qualifications and experience required:

• Minimum BSc Honours in Environmental Sciences

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in air quality consulting

• Experience in emissions inventory compilations, dispersion modelling and ambient air quality monitoring, as well as strong project management skills.

Key Skills:

• Experience in ambient monitoring (dust fallout, particulate, meteorological, passive sampling and acoustic monitoring)

• Experience in emission inventories and dispersion modelling (CALPUFF, AERMOD)

• Experience in Geographic Information Systems beneficial

• Knowledge of the South African environmental/air quality legislation

• Technical report writing skills including the ability to produce professional reports in fluent English

• Technical skills to manage, verify and analyse monitoring data

• Strong project management skills to ensure projects are managed efficiently

• Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you

• Identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
